Present are – Eleanor Candy (Chair), Siebette Wester (Secretary), Margriet Berben (Director), Michael Fitzgerald (Director), Gillian McGarthland (Treasurer), Val Smith (Director) and Andrew Wrigley (Director). Apologies from Norma Hunter (Director).

In the Directors’ meeting on 21 November 2022 the following items were discussed:

The minutes of the previous meeting on 24 October 2022 were approved by all present.
We have received no new membership applications and we agreed to remove one member at their request (total membership now 76 members – 61 ordinary members and 15 associate members).
Paths: Directors undertook a walk around of the Giant’s Chair path with the Dornell Ranger and a local contractor to assess the further work required. We will also contact Paths for All to understand what support they can provide.
Christmas Market: Details were confirmed for the forthcoming market. 36 stall holders had signed up.
Community Policing Event: Michael had spoken with the local Moray sergeant about vandalism and crime in Dufftown. The sergeant suggested that two constables could hold a drop in centre in Dufftown where people could find out more about how to report incidents and how to respond. We agreed to investigate a drop in event in Dufftown.
Updates: The Directors received an update on the Moray Council Corporate Plan. Val will contact the Council’s Community Support Counsellor for Forres and Speyside to assess what support might be available from the Council, and Gillian will contact the author of the Dufftown Plan post on Facebook.
Date and time of next meeting: Monday 16 January – 7pm.
