Andy Wrigley

Andy grew up in a small town called Westhoughton, in the North West of England. His passion for arts and crafts started at a very young age and took him to Wigan and Leigh Arts College as a teenager then on to a Bachelors Degree in 3D Digital Design at The University of Salford.

Andy was a member of the board for a Community Interest Company in Bolton, which enabled local Artists to showcase their talents in a professional exhibition space as well as ‘pop up’ exhibitions across the North West of England.

In 2017 Andy and his Sister embarked on a life-long dream to fully restore and renovate a period property as well as open their very own unique style of Bed and Breakfast. They chose a property called Ben Main, in Dufftown and with the skills and help of their Father (and plenty tea and cake from their Mother!), they rebuilt and restored the property by themselves to its former glory, whilst living in a caravan, in the garden.

During the pandemic, with his new business temporarily closed he worked as a night carer at a care home near Cullen. It was a revelation as to how hard carers work on a daily basis, but also an absolute joy to care for the residents during such a lonely and isolated time.

Andy hopes to use his enthusiasm and design background to form a creative community in Dufftown that will allow people of all ages and backgrounds to engage in arts and crafts and give them a platform to display their talents, but most importantly, bring people together!
