Eleanor Candy

(nee Wiseman)

Eleanor was born in Dufftown to a farming family of 6 children. She left home to study at the age of 17 after which she embarked on a successful career, working and travelling the world until returning to Dufftown in 2014 with her husband and 2 children.

She brings a wide and varied experience to the team having worked as a Cleaner, Checkout Girl and Assistant Manager of a supermarket, through to Assistant Accountant in an Oil Service Company. She was also heavily involved in the community consultation that resulted in the Planning for Real document, sparking an interest that led to her chairing one of the local community groups. Eleanor now runs a successful Dufftown based business in partnership with her husband.

In her spare time she volunteers at both Mortlach Primary School and Speyside Youth, she teaches netball to primary children in Dufftown and Rothes and is also an active member of the Mortlach Parish Church.

Her enthusiasm for music and photography is matched only by her love of taking long walks through the countryside with her dogs.
