Gillian McGarthland

I am originally from NE England and moved to Scotland when I was 9 as my dad worked in the oil industry.

My husband and I work for the Scottish Ambulance Service. We met in 1993 when I worked in the Control Room in Aberdeen and I moved to Dufftown in 1995.

We have always had dogs and love to go for long walks. We have recently started cycling and bought ourselves E bikes which are brilliant.

I have been actively involved in a couple of organisations over the years as it is great to do things for the local community. As well as being a member of the DMDT, I am the Treasurer for the Speyside Air Cadets.

I want to promote my local area and I love anything to do with tourism especially. I’m just happy to help out where I can.
